Show only selected shipping methods

Use ShipWith to show only specific Shopify shipping methods at checkout. The Show only specific delivery method(s) action keeps selected existing delivery options visible and hides the other eligible options. It does not create a delivery method that is missing from checkout.

Set up the action

  1. Create a shipping rule or open the rule that you want to edit.
  2. Under When the rule runs, choose Always or When set conditions are met.
  3. If you chose When set conditions are met, add the conditions that should control the rule.
  4. Under Actions, select Show only specific delivery method(s).
  5. In Delivery method titles, enter a title or handle, then press Enter. Repeat this step for every delivery method that you want to keep visible.
  6. Set Status to Live.
  7. Select Save.
  8. Under Shopify sync, wait for Status to become Synced before testing the rule.

Each value in Delivery method titles matches any part of a delivery option's title or handle, without regard to capitalization. For example, express can match a title such as “Express Shipping” or a handle that contains express.

What happens at checkout

When the rule's conditions match, ShipWith checks each eligible delivery option against every value that you entered. It keeps matching options visible and hides eligible options that do not match.

If none of the eligible options match, ShipWith hides all eligible options. The action cannot add or restore a delivery method that Shopify or your shipping-rate provider did not make available for that checkout. If this leaves checkout without a shipping method, see Why are no shipping methods showing at checkout? to restore checkout safely.

Conditions determine which checkout cases and delivery options are eligible. If the rule's conditions do not match, this action does not change those options. A condition on Available shipping method title can further limit which options the action is allowed to hide.

Shopify can split one cart into multiple delivery groups. ShipWith evaluates each delivery group independently against its own conditions and available delivery options. A value can match an option in one delivery group but match nothing in another, so check every group.

Test the rule at checkout

Test both a positive match and a no-match case:

  1. Add products to the cart and enter customer or destination details that meet the rule's conditions.
  2. Continue to the checkout step that shows delivery options.
  3. In every delivery group, confirm that an option whose title or handle matches a Delivery method titles value stays visible and eligible nonmatching options are hidden.
  4. Create another matching checkout where Shopify supplies eligible options, but none of their titles or handles match your entered values.
  5. In every delivery group, confirm that all eligible options are hidden in this no-match case.

Also test a checkout that does not meet the rule's conditions. Confirm that the rule does not hide its delivery options.

If the result is unexpected, confirm that the rule is Live, its Shopify sync status is Synced, and the entered values appear in the option title or handle. After making changes, select Save, wait for Synced, and repeat both tests.
