What is ShipWith, and what can it do?

ShipWith is a Shopify shipping rules app inside Shopify admin. It lets you customize how existing shipping methods and delivery options appear at checkout. You can create rules that hide, rename, or sort those options for every checkout or only when selected conditions match.

What ShipWith changes

ShipWith works with the delivery options that Shopify already makes available at checkout. A rule can:

• Hide options. For example, hide “Express shipping” when the cart contains a product that cannot be sent by express service.
• Rename options. For example, show “Standard shipping” as “Delivery in 3–5 business days” so customers know what to expect.
• Sort options. For example, move “Local pickup” to the top or sort visible options from lowest to highest cost.

A rule can always run, or it can run only when its conditions match. Conditions can use checkout details such as cart value, products, customer tags, or the shipping address. For example, you could hide a delivery option for selected postal codes or show different options to tagged customers.

Rules only affect delivery options in the checkout where their conditions match. If a rule's conditions do not match, that rule does not change the options.

What ShipWith does not change

ShipWith does not create or calculate shipping rates. It also cannot:

• Add a new delivery option at checkout.
• Change the price of an existing rate.
• Provide or apply shipping discounts.

Set up rates and their prices through Shopify or your shipping-rate provider. After those rates produce delivery options at checkout, ShipWith can control which existing options customers see, what those options are called, and the order in which they appear.

In short: your existing shipping setup supplies the delivery options and prices; ShipWith applies display rules to those options at checkout.
