Use Shopify B2B checkout conditions to show a validation error for purchases from a particular company or location, or for any B2B purchase. Choose the condition that matches how narrowly you want the rule to apply.

What each B2B condition checks

| Condition | What it matches | Available with | | ------------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------ | ---------------------------------------------------------- | | Purchasing company | One or more companies you select for the purchase. | Standard input, Shipping input, Customer input | | Purchasing company location | One or more company locations you select for the purchase. | Standard input, Shipping input, Customer input | | Customer is a company | A purchase with a B2B purchasing company, whichever company it is. | Standard input, Shipping input, Customer input |

These conditions need Shopify B2B company data. Purchasing company and Purchasing company location check the company or location selected for this purchase. Customer is a company checks whether the purchase has a purchasing company; it does not select a specific company. If you use Shopify catalogs, choose the company or location condition based on the buyer you want to match, rather than the catalog name.

Select companies and locations

For Purchasing company, choose is one of or is not one of, then click Select companies. Search for companies, select the ones you need, and click Confirm. Use Select company locations in the same way for Purchasing company location. The location picker shows each location's company name to help you choose the right one. You can select more than one company or location.

Is one of matches a selected company or location. Is not one of matches a B2B purchase whose selected company or location is outside your list. Neither operator matches a purchase without a purchasing company. For any B2B purchase, use Customer is a company with is. Use is not to match a purchase without a B2B purchasing company.

Company and location selections belong to the Shopify store where you picked them. If you import the rule into another store, select that store's companies or locations before turning it on.

For an order minimum that applies only to Shopify B2B buyers, combine Customer is a company with a cart condition in the same group. See Require B2B buyers to meet order rules for the full example.
