You can duplicate a payment rule in the same store or move payment rules between stores with a rules file. Review each new rule before you turn it on in Shopify checkout.
Before you start
You need an active BlockCart subscription to duplicate or import rules. You can export rules from a store that can open BlockCart without an active subscription.
Duplicate a payment rule
- Open BlockCart's home page and find the payment rule in Rules.
- Select Duplicate in that rule's row.
- Open the new rule, review its settings, and edit it as needed. Set Status to Live when you are ready to use it, or Test to try it first with a tagged account.

The new rule is named after the original with copy added. For example, Hide cash on delivery becomes Hide cash on delivery copy. It keeps the original Rule input, conditions, and payment actions. Its priority is the original rule's priority plus one. It starts Off, so duplicating it does not sync a new payment change to Shopify.
Example
If you duplicate a rule that hides cash on delivery for every order, the copy that is Off keeps these settings:
| Rule input | Conditions | Payment action | | ---------- | ---------- | --------------------- | | Cart | Always | Hide cash on delivery |
Export or import payment rules
In the home page's Rules section, select Export rules to download one file containing both checkout and payment rules. Select Import rules to add rules from a BlockCart rules file. The old payment rule import page takes you back to the home page.
Imported payment rules keep their Rule input, conditions, and actions, but start Off and do not sync to Shopify. If you move rules to another store, re-pick any products, collections, companies, or company locations used in their conditions before turning them on. For the file limits and full steps, see Import and export rules between stores.

Good to know
Rule input is locked after a payment rule is created. Review it before you turn on a duplicate or imported rule. To understand how the copied priority affects payment actions, see Rule priority and how actions stack.
